I just saw where his manager said he had passed away.
RIP Wally you, and the simple lifestyle, will be missed.

Just saw another update that said they announced his death in error!
I saw that happen at work when a CPL called a death and the person started talking to us when the coroner arrived.

When they took my brother off of life support, my parents couldn't bear to be there so we went home to wait. They were understandably complete emotional wrecks. We got the call that he had passed about 30 minutes after we got back to the house. My brother was at home so I phoned him with the news. 20 minutes later they call and tell us he's not dead yet, he's still alive. But still no brain activity. Four hours later he finally passed. That was rough. Watching what it did to my folks, I never told my brother the whole story.

Not to get to far off, Dick Van Dyke is in really bad shape.
I thought all the Leave It To Beaver cast were dead. I think that show was in reruns in the early 60s. It can't really be a surprise when these old stars die. Some live longer than others, but eventually we all gotta go.

Wally in Vietnam, 1969. At least that's what my wife thought. Oh well, it worked for a while.
Rumors of my death have been greatly exagerated.
I think I read the Vietnam death rumor was actually for "The Beaver". After high school, he joined the Air Force National Guard. But, he had actually never left the states.

Sad about Tony Dow. How many here know that Ken Osmond who played Eddie Haskell left acting and became a Police Officer with LAPD. He was a motorcycle officer. On 9/20/80 he was shot three times while in a foot chase with a car thief and was saved by his early Second Chance vest. He was involved in a second shooting a month later. He retired on a disability in 1988 and died from COPD in 2020.

Dow’s death leaves Mathers and Rusty Stevens, who played Beaver’s friend Larry Mondello, as the only surviving members of the show’s core cast. Beaumont died in 1982. Barbara Billingsley, who played Wally and Beaver’s mother, June Cleaver, died in 2010. Ken Osmond, who played Haskell, died in 2020.

Along with appearances in later years at pop culture conventions, often alongside Mather, Dow worked as an artist, gaining a sterling reputation as a sculptor.
One of his bronze pieces was accepted at 2008′s Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts, a 150-year-old art show staged annually at the Louvre.
Dow told the Associated Press in 2012 that his openings brought out as many people anxious to rub shoulders with the Beaver’s big brother as to see his art.
“I think it’s hard, especially with the Wally image, to be taken seriously at pretty much anything other than that,” he said with a chuckle and a shake of his head.

I always get a kick out of imagining Osmond on his first day at the academy, but in character as Eddie: "Good morning, drill instructor, how are you today? My that's a fine uniform you're wearing."
