Walther PPK/S 22 LR

I have one with a Guardian 22 suppressor. Great for getting rid of raccoons and opossums in the barn. Doesn't scare the horses when I shoot. Great practice pistol for my .32 and .380 PPK's.

I want one of these in a nickel finish and cannot find one anywhere. There are tons of black ones, but I don't want a black one. Does anyone know when they will be available?

I don't know if you have a Sportsman's Warehouse anywhere near you, but even if you don't, if you go to their website, they have them listed, but as "temporarly sold out." I'd put my name of the "notify me" list just in case they ever get any, and see if they'll ship to your FFL.

Nothing to lose, but a few minutes to check and leave an email address.

People complain about the heavy DA trigger, and it is a bit heavier than my other (5) Walther PP series pistols), but it’s an artifact of the PP series geometry. The PP dates to 1929 and was the first DA/SA semi-auto pistol ever marketed.

On the plus side, if you practice with a PP series pistol and get good with the DA trigger, you’ll shoot any other DA/SA or DAO pistol really well.

When I first got mine, I said the DA took "two men, a boy, and a small dog" to pull it. Either it's gotten better, or I've built up my trigger finger, because it's not THAT bad now. I think it's releatively smooth as long as you just pull it through, and don't try to stage it. I chamber a round, and drop the hammer with the decocker every magazine and fire at least the first shot DA every time.

I don't have an issue with the DA trigger on my Walther. At the range I'll put in a loaded mag... drop the safety... rack the slide... Shoot!

Repeat as often as necessary.
