My man Thiokol on this Forum came through with this magnificent 1984 Interarms, stainless Walther PPK/S in .380 ACP. Unfired/NIB. I plan to change that status.

Many years ago I coveted this gun, but I bought an Astra Constable instead because it was a replica. I never used it so I finally sold it.....or maybe it was stolen....too many years ago. I can't remember!

Anyway, if my memory serves this is the last of my grail guns! Yay!

You must have been drinking when you typed this :)

Getting One's hands on a Grail Gun simply opens up a slot for a New larger and even more unachievable Grail to slip in

BTW, Congratulations on the new addition

Have one and it is very accurate. If your hands are big, you may want to watch out for the fine edges on the slide grooves at rear. You may be able to break the edges a little.

I used to have several PPK/Ss, blue and stainless. I didn't care for the cartridge, but these are good guns, very reliable, and surprisingly accurate, even with cast bullets at 25 yards. Enjoy your pistol.

I too always wanted one, so I bought the same gun in 1985. I fired one clip out of it, and it sat in the safe. A couple years ago I sold it, then #2 son comes around asking about my James Bond gun. I told him I sold it. Long face. Then shortly thereafter, my best friend passed and left me an unfired Talo laser engraved S&W model. It had a recall on it so I sent it to Walther. Got it back in about 10 days, and that went to son.

I have one about the same vintage. A buddy of mine (better shot) ran a 25 yard modified bullseye course with it. Two hands. He got it to shoot 30 rounds into about a softball sized group!

One of these has been residing in my safe for quite awhile. Another victim of the ammunition drought from 2020.

I think I will have to declare a .380 ACP Day and take this gun, my PPK, Beretta 84, Performance Center EZ 380, and Sig P238 to the indoor range and give them all a workout.

I did not keep my .380 PPK/S very long. It was very accurate and reliable but was not a fun gun to shoot. The .380 ACP in a blowback has a quit snappy recoil and the sharp edges on the Interarms imported PPK/S just enhanced it’s unpleasantness.

I had a SIG P238 but I really didn't like it so I sold it but on my .380 day, coming soon, that Walther PPK/S will be accompanied by a Beretta Cheeta FS 85 and an old and extremely reliable and accurate Star Model S. As a single action pistol I don't carry it but BOY HOWDY can it shoot!

I'm glad that you're happy with it Greg. Now all you need are a couple of these. (They aren't for sale.)

Funny, Jim!!!! Original PPKs - a whole other world before 1968!

Thanks!

Right after I hit "send" I laughed and thought to myself, "Self, you know there's another gun out there that you always wanted!!!! :D

Well I have some of my PP family photographed

I do not recall how old this one is, but it looks good

This came into one of my buddies Pawn Shops. Pre-Internet is was very worthwhile becoming friends with the Pawn Shops . . . . not so much today

I had a little bonus check a few years back so I had my stainless PPk engraved. I carried this PPk in an ankle rig for a few years as my BUG eventually I went back to a J-Frame

I was getting ready to send one of my 22s off to be Ghost threaded for a suppressor when the NEW Walther PPk/s 22s came out. So I bought one in nickel and left the other two rimfire Walthers alone.

I have a Walther PPK/S .22 but I don't think it's threaded for my suppressor. But maybe we did do that; it's been awhile since it emerged from the safe.

That PPK/S .22 was supposed to satisfy my desire for a PPK/S but, obviously, it did not. :D
Pull the slide back on an empty mag so it locks back

There should be a collar at the end of the barrel. Remove it and use a 10MM to 1/2x28 adapter just like you did on the P22 pistol

Greg, Thiokol definitely hooked you up!

I have 3 different Walther PP versions. First is my prewar PPK. It is a very early first year pistol. I have seen very few with earlier serial numbers. The second is my Walther PP. It is in pristine condition with a box magazine. The third one is my PPK/S. I think it is kinda cool because it has a rarely seen upgrade. Can you tell what it is?

Congrats on your new grail gun,
never owned the "S" version but still have three of their smaller sibling PPK with the shorter grip frame, one is a 1966 so pre import stamp, the other two are USA made Interarms made, one in blue and one in SS.
Used to carry a SS one in the late 80's for ccw which eventually got sold when the LCP came out, Must admit those new Walther .22's look interesting, are they all steel ?
Have an old PPK copy made by a company called Excam, also have a copy made by Iver Johnson and an Interarms made TPH

On a side note an Interesting partner to the Walther PPK is the Mauser HSc and there is a modern version of it in the HK4.

The Walther PPK has its mystique similar to the P08 Lugar. Most are interested and some just need to have one, I was able to cure my PPK wish with a newer Walther 22LR PPK/S. NOt the same for many here I know. I have not shot out any glass windows like a brick, but not just another 22, an accurate and ergonomic design, it has not missed a range trip since I bought it. Enjoy your "last" grail gun.
