Interarms had Ranger Arms of Alabama mfgr the Walther TPH (under lic from Walther/W Germany) starting in 1988 or 87.
Ranger had already been making the Walther PPk/S licensed copy for Interarms since the late70's.
(Ranger Arms, the name itself, disappeared from the business of making these pistols for I/A a couple years after TPH started up.
From then on the pistol production was stated to have been done by Mid-South Industries, Inc.
Ranger Arms had been a subsidiary of Mid-South untill that time. Why Ranger was dissolved or made to go away, I don't know.
More funky InterArms business dealings )
I don't know of any 'list' for the US made TPH ser#'s
(W German made have a date code along with the WG Proof stamp)
Some collectors have began putting together lists of ser#'s along with the dates on the target included with the pistol. The target has the pistols description and ser# on it.
From what I see,,the Stainless steel edition was produced in far greater #'s.
For example # T031722 (stainless) was shipped in 1997
But Ser#'s were only up to #H001195 for shipment of a Blued TPH in February of 1998.
When did they start production of the Blued steel pistols? Don't know. How often did they make a run of them?
That blued # ..1195 wasn't shipped till about 10 yrs after the TPH production started in Alabama tells you something about how few in comparison to the Stainless edition they made when the latter were into the Ser#..33,000+ range.
(I found Ser# T033182, Stainless Steel, shipped April,1998)

FWIW re:the TPH ser# prefix:
Add...'F'
It denotes a .25acp caliber TPH
I found one 25cal TPH in the articles I searched.
TPH cal 25acp Ser# F000006 (25cal pistol #6 of USA production)
Shipped June, 1993
