Wanna load your 15-22 mags in 7 seconds...

They just do. A little shakey, shakey and viola. Google it, or the ultimate clip loader. Lots of videos of it.

The hopper on this and the Ultimate Clip Loader are designed to orient the rounds in the correct way as they move from the upper portion to the slot which is not wide enough for then to go rim down.
I just ordered this with three adapters.
The Ultimate Clip Loader I have I modified to work with my Ruger SR22.
I have another loader for the 10/22 but it can be tricky and rounds fall out if the crank is not stopped at the right point.
I also have the HC3R for the 10/22 but I like to have options

I'm curious as to what the longevity of these will be. Clear plastic tends to be quite brittle. My ButlerCreek loader made out of similiar plastic self destructed.

So I decided to see what Blackdog meant when they said the ammo won't feed into the drum using the McFadden loader. It turns out the rim gets caught on the feed lips. The feed lips on the Blackdog mags are a little longer (front to back) than on the S&W. I filed the lips back a little bit at a time until I got the loader to push rounds into Blackdog drum.

Thanks for this info...I was probably still going to buy this speed loader...but knowing that I can make it work with my drum, is icing on the cake. :D
I can't wait to get this, I hate loading them one at a time by hand.

Mine has been great. Caused so much interest at the range and in local LGS that they now stock it as a supplement to the 15-22.
They sell one for every Smith they sell.

On a down side, after having mine sent over from the US direct from Manufacturer, at a cost of 33USD, they now want £30 + £6 so it seems the old dollar pound sign switcheroo is at it again.

That said, I took mine out when it was really cold recently and as a result have now ended up with a stress crack round one of the screw holes near the "trigger", it still loads fine at the moment but when it does finally give in, I will definitely get a replacement as it really is worth having and definitely do NOT want to go back to loading 10 mags 1 round at a time. :D

Glad this thread was re-energized! I am glad to see that the McFadden Lighting grip loader is still receiving high marks. Just what I need for my 15-22.

Looks great - but I don't want one. I have a 10/22 but in either one of my boys hands 25 rounds in a BX25 lasts less than 2 minutes.

Between the two of them they already can go through a whole brick of 22 in about an hour shooting their bolt actions and loading the 5-7 round magazines by hand.

Why would I want to make it easier to go through semi-scarce hard to replace ammo even faster? :D

As a follow up to this thread, I spoke to Dave at McFadden about the lighting grip loader. Ordered one with the 15-22 adapter Monday morning and it was in my mailbox Wednesday. In less than one minute, I had it assembled and had loaded a S&W 25 round mag perfectly. It sure is a savings to my old fingers and especially loading time. So far, very pleased with their customer service and product. It's in my bag for my next range visit and we'll see how it performs loading my six mags.

Joined the Forum today and just ordered my loader for my 15-22 also. Hope to get it before next weekends range outing Thanks for the outstanding reviews this forum helped me make up my mind on what I was looking to buy.**** UPDATE**** Ordered mine Saturday, got it today (Wednesday) Looked it over inserted the adapter and was loading Mags in less than 5 minutes!!! Smooth as a glass *** ! Can't wait to go to the range and show off this baby.

A lot of truth there.

I don't mind reloading mags at the Club as I empty them. I'm in no hurry anyway.

Well I dump em pretty fast with my 15-22 Slidfire...LOL

So just landed... Great Fast shipping

Golden Bullets loaded pretty good... But Federal loaded a lot easier.

Is a bit sore on the trigger finger ... but is really really fast.. Last few are tight to get in the MAG but is for sure easier than with just my fingers.. and faster... way faster

I have like 21 15-22 Mags... so will make it much easier after a Good day at the Range...

Sun is out again in AZ... maybe hit the Desert Range tomorrow

You guys just cost me money. Loader aand adapter for the 15-22 is on the way. I already have one for my Ruger 22/45 Lite mags. The other half of my NSSF Rimfire Challenge combo.

Lighting' Loader worth every penny!

The day I bought my 15-22 (years ago) I ordered a Lightnin' Loader, and it has been without a doubt the best accessory for that rifle I have ever purchased. I have 10 25 round magazines, and when I go to the outdoor range with it, I pay a flat fee to shoot for the day, so I don't really care how long it takes for me to load the magazines. But when I am at the indoor range, it is a far different story. I pay for the lane by the hour, and I sure don't want to lose 15 minutes of time loading magazines. Plus, if I decide at the last minute I want to go to the range (which happens a lot) it takes less than 5 minutes to sit down and load all of my magazines. It takes longer to get the gun out of the safe, grab my range bag and load them in the truck than it does to load the magazines. And a HUGE reason to recommend McFadden... After years of use, my loader broke. The tab at the top that holds the adaptor snapped. I emailed McFadden, explained what happened, included photos of the break and asked if there was a warranty. If there wasn't, no problem, I'll order a new one. Once you own one, there is no way you wan't to go without it. I wrote the letter last Saturday. Sunday I received a return email saying they would be mailing me a replacement Monday morning. It was in my mailbox Wednesday. THAT is above and beyond customer support, and for that alone, I will recommend them to everyone.

+1 Im in Canada. Few jave made it up here but I love mine!!!!!
If only theyd advertise better up here!
There are tons of .22 shooters and the lightin loader does it all!!!!!

If you're in the UK and you want one of these, I'd recommend Black Rifle.

The product itself works as advertised – but it does leave a mark on each bullet head.

Previously the length of time it took me to load 15-22 magazines by hand, was the only thing that was saving me from bankruptcy. Now I'm totally screwed!
