Wanna load your 15-22 mags in 7 seconds...

Almost 2 months later... Many range trips in cold and or wet weather, my Lightning loader functions as well the day it arrived and loads my mags very easily. Showed it to the owner of my LGS and he ordered one for himself as I stood there. **** Just an added note I just got the adapter for my Sig Mosquito .22lr today works just as good on those magazines as well. I love this loader even more now!!!!!!

You guys just cost me money. Loader aand adapter for the 15-22 is on the way. I already have one for my Ruger 22/45 Lite mags. The other half of my NSSF Rimfire Challenge combo.

I didn't see a adapter on their site for for the 22/45?

JeffM, The Lightnin' Grip Loader doesn't work on the single stack pistol magazines... But, they make a product called the Ultimate Clip Loader. I have had one for YEARS for my Ruger Mk III magazines (and the 22/45 are basically the same magazine) and they also work flawlessly. Instead of a mechanical load, it is a gravity feed loader, so no moving parts and nothing to break. McFadden Machine Ultimate Cliploader

Just got my Mcfaddin loader.
Best $28.50 (including 15-22 adaptor) I've spent for a while.
VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I *LOVE* my loader - everyone that sees it at our club matches wants it bad lol

You can barely hear yourself think at one of the clubs i shoot at with the noise of everyone rattling their lightening loaders! :D Really good bits of kit if you're shooting in comps so you can quickly bomb up your mags and get back to working on your stage plan/helping with patching etc

I bought one of these with a 15 22 adapter and gsg 1911 adapter. Don't have the rifles yet but I have some extra mags. Tried it on two 15 22 mags and it kept getting stuck. Maybe I'm holding it at the wrong angle. Left some marks on the bullet tip but I guess that doesn't matter.

Wanted to test it some more but I need to use new bullets.

I just loaded 12 15-22 oem mags. Using that video somewhat helped but they still get stuck.

Tried different ammo, federal bulk, and 1400 velocity golden bullets.

Maybe it's because I only have oem 10 round mags? I was super stoked about this thing because CA ten round mags are a pain........ I will keep trying I guess. Will wait until the rifle gets here. Don't want to keep scoring up ammo.

Got mine today. Seems to work OK but an occasional bit of stickiness.

See me in about a year. ;)

Used mine a week or so ago for the first time and it worked great. Loaded a couple of empty 25 round magazines. Therefore on each loaded I used 25 rounds only. If I had used 30 rounds, would it have just stopped loading and I would have felt the resistance or would something stupid have happened. The reason I ask is I will appreciate it more if I don't have to count the rounds as I put them in the hopper. Thanks.

I've used mine for a few months now. Yeah; it loads the magazines quickly . . . after you dump a box into it and shake the crud out of it for a few minutes to get the rounds to drop into the lower compartment.

I'm really not convinced it's any faster than loading by hand. It is more fun, though. Oh, there is another plus . . . it annoys my wife because of the noise created from shaking it.

Considering the whole process, the time appears near equal. Overcome by the sense that it takes forever but in reality that's not the case for me. The shaking deal is another matter. Someone reinvents this where no shaking is required and it's game over. I like it overall and my thumbs / fingers appreciate it even more. Worthwhile purchase. Next up, disposable, biodegradable pre-loaded magazines.

Does the loading action dent the bullets at all? Seems like it would mark or dent the actual lead bullet during loading.

I use only CCI AR Tactical and haven't noticed any "denting" of the plating. But then again I haven't focused on that. If it does I see no impact on stabilization or trajectory.

It does put a little dent in the end. Haven’t noticed any impact on accuracy as a result though.

I made an attempt to order one today after a couple months of wrestling with the decision. But when I went to checkout they make you create an account and want to much information for my tastes. To many good for nothings hacking systems and stealing information for me to put that info out there.
I might try ordering one by snail mail and a money order later. But I would much rather go to Academy, Cabala's or Bass Pro to get one even if it costs a little more. McFadden really needs to see about getting into one of these stores.

Best money you can spend for loading your mags! I have the MP22, SR22 and the M&P 15-22.
