Wanted: 3 inch 686 Canyon Gun

[Shark Bait]

Along the lines of the Mountain Gun, how about a 7 shot 686 with a 3 inch pencil barrel. Full length ejection rod, but not full underlug. Perhaps called a Canyon Gun? A 3 inch L frame is sweet to start with, but like a Mountain Gun sounds awesome to me.

I like your idea for the Canyon gun, though I would probably call the barrel configuration you describe "classic tapered barrel with extractor shroud".

I'd prefer a fixed rear sight myself, ala the Model 681.

It makes too much sense for Smith & Wesson to consider putting something together like you have proposed on their own. Too bad Lew Horton isn't still around.
