I got a Bianchi Black Widow belt slide rig today for my round butt 2" model 10.

Seems good so far...very pleased that the end of the barrel is only about a half inch below my belt. T shirts and other warm weather appropriate shirts cover it quite well". I am impressed.

Pics will be forthcoming.

PhatMax: Jim Mernickle in Nevada makes great belt scabbards for revolvers that fit well and draw smoothly. I have for 2" J, 2" K, and SP-101. mernickleholsters.com. 775-575-3166

MAX,
I too recently evaluated my J frame belt carry. Figured if I was going to wear a holster might as well have a K frame in it. I acquired a 2" M64. IMO the 2" M64 and M10 may be the perfect Summer weather belt carry rigs. Fixed sight, short barrel, easily concealed, six rounds. Just received a Lobo enhanced pancake. The holster is a work of art. Unfortunately the 64 is at the Factory for a tune up so I can't try it out yet.

Still have the airweight J for the pocket carry.

My J carry is a 637, and the only holster I have for it is actually ankle. Not the best for quick situations, but it is so light I barely notice it and it is good for those "low intensity" areas. True pocket carry is hard for me, being a smallish guy. Pockets big enough to comfortable swallow even a 637 means pants that are baggy and look bad on my frame and somewhat unprofessional.

Part of the reason for the K holster, I can get away with a sort of loose shirt. :)

I too am a J Frame fan and have two M60's, one with the original RB Magnas and one with Uncle Mike's Boot Grips. The holster I prefer to carry most is a Bianchi Pocket holster, fits nice and tight against the body and covers up 60% of the gun from the outside debris. I also have a drawer full of sloft fabric and kydex holsters for the J frame, but the Bianchi wears the best.

I have a Bianchi Black Widow for both my Ruger SP101 357 snub and my full size 1911 45. Best holster I have found! Conceals well even with the 1911. Can't recommend the Black Widow enough.

I just love to read posts about sensible carry and sensible carry solutions! Funny how the same names seem to keep popping up.

P.S. Re 'sensible': Anyone see my post on the '61-'80 thread about a 4" N-frame .45 for pocket carry?
