I just have to post this from the Sunday local paper:

"The shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Huff and Puff Hookah Lounge on the 1100 block of West Avenue.

Officers at the scene said two men started arguing over a woman. A man then pulled out a gun and started shooting at the crowd. Four men, all in their 20s, suffered gunshot wounds to their feet.

Police say the shooter and two other men then got into a vehicle and drove off.

All four of the victims were taken to University Hospital in stable condition."

Maybe the shooter was upside down, you know, after coming out of the hookah lounge?

"...funny heads..." he thought to himself...

I've never been in a Hookah Lounge, and have no idea what goes on in one. Maybe I'll drop into the Huff and Puff at 3:30 AM on a Saturday morning to find out. Seems like it could be a fun place.
It's a place you go to smoke Hookah (tobacco) and drink coffee. Like going to a cigar lounge.

Sounds like you don't have to go into the lounge, just be in the parking lot at 3:30 am.

It is possible that the lounge wasn't even open. In my region, there seem to be individuals who gather in parking lots and party till the wee hours. There is no shortage of alcohol, drugs, whatever, leading to the inevitable arguments, fights, knifings, shootings, homicides, whatever.

This often happens throughout the week. Makes me wonder how the individuals involved can get up the next morning and make it to work on time?

Typical "accurate reporting"! Per Dex the Huff and Puff is at
11329 West Ave, San Antonio, TX. Hardly in the
1100 block"! Must be new, doesn't show in Google Earth "street view".

And "Hookah" is not tobacco, it is what used to be called a "water pipe" or "bong" in the druggie culture. Commonly credited to the Turks. Makes no difference what is smoked in it, except to the idiot smoking it. :D

Clearly this was an urban shooting so the gun was probably held upside down with the wrist turned in order to be "cool". Ahh jeeze......:D

I guarantee this was a case of someone with a gun that he wasn't familiar with. I'll bet he pointed it at people, but had a terrible flinch as he tried to press the trigger.

I've seen it many times at the range.

Different critter from a bong
the hookah uses a charcoal puck to smoke whatever at a lower temperature.
This, and vapor shops are evolving into social venues lately.
Most seem to be straight laced, while a few others are a little more "interesting"
vape shops might be easier to identify as "interesting" as the devices span a lot of technical territory to where competence in it might be a tip off that the owners interests lie elsewhere.
