Only been about a month since I bought my M&P 45 FS. I was doing okay, trying to keep myself away from any gun shops till after Christmas, until I stopped into the Rural King store in my old hometown.

Through Saturday, any gun 10% off, layaway available with 10% down and 90 days to pay. Their prices are already better than most gun shops and big box stores. Bottom line, M&P 9mm FS for $476 + tax! :D I know, I know, it's too close to Christmas to be spending money on myself! I really did try, I swear I did! :( What put me over the edge was most places around my area never have the M&P 9/40 for less than $499. When I figured the discounted price + tax, it was all over except for the crying

Anyway, my "justification" was, I'll be getting a little Christmas cash and can use that for the payment due in 30 days. Then, when January rolls around, tax refund should be back to get said pistol out of layaway 30 days early! :D

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it! ;)

My wife is very good about buying me guns for Christmas and birthdays. If I really want something I just buy it and call it a present from me to me! Works every time.

I splurged on a Crossbreed holster for my Shield for my early Christmas present.

I guess the good thing (one of many) about my fiancé is she doesn't question any purchase I make. We make sure the household bills get paid and anything we each want to do is totally up to us. I don't have a lot of expendable cash, and places that offer layaway is really a bonus.

I really wasn't looking to make another purchase, especially before Christmas; but as luck would have it...... :-)

Just glad I live in the great state of Kalifornia they only allow me to buy one handgun a month. They are big brother and know what is good for me . Pertty soon I will only be able to go their church once a month or write a letter to their news paper once a month . Just being jelous Thank God there are still free parts of this country keep buying for those of us who can't

Congrats on the new M&P don't feel bad I just bought a Black Friday deal I couldn't pass up on a shield 9 for my B-Day 😎
And even better news Christmas is right around the corner lol.

I had forgotten about this thread, so first-I'm sorry for being forgetful and second, thought I'd update a bit.

So on 12-19, I got a $50 bonus at work, on 12-20 it was applied to my layaway! :-)

Had Christmas with my family today (12-21) and received a $20 gift card from Rural King and a $100 bill. So Tuesday 12-23, I'll be paying that on the layaway also. If my luck holds out, it may not be long before the new addition comes home with me! :-)

Christmas presents to yourself just happens sometime.

I have a good feeling that there will be a 10/22 under the tree from my wife. With a few good deals online I prepared for it a bit and picked up a scope, rings, 2 mags and a case. In my defense I was going to purchase the rifle eventually so I would still need these items. Plus it is a model without sights, so if I hadn't bought the scope I would unwrap it and have no way to shoot it...

Sometimes you just gotta let it happen.

Yeah I'm guilty to of a Christmas present for myself :o
I picked up a Ruger LC9s yesterday so my Shield will have someone to play with 😎

Xmas present for me also Alien Gear holster for my Shield 40. Not a bit guilty :D

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Well, just got home with the new addition to my M&P family; was able to bring my new M&P FS 9mm home with me! :-)

Will have to reside in the safe until Friday, when we will get back from visiting family for Christmas. Can't wait to give her a good cleaning/lube and take her to the range this coming Saturday!

Another one off my list! Now for an M&P 22 and possibly an M&P 40 FS.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! :-)
