Was the 617 ever available with a hammer mounted firing pin?

I am looking for a 617 10 shot to add to my collection and would prefer a hammer mounted firing pin if it was available in certain years/models. Thanks for any info.

Never happened, never will.

ALL S&W rimfire hand ejectors (except for the tiny Ladysmiths) used frame mounted firing pins.
