Dang! It's always sad to lose a member of our forum family. Condolences to friends, family, and loved ones left behind.

Bob was a gracious friend to my son and me, sending my son multiple gifts during his tenure on the forum including several fishing hats, belt buckles, throwing knives and pocket knives, arrowheads, metal puzzles, etc. He shared our love of fishing and hunting and of Mountain Feist dogs.
I wish we had kept closer tabs on him because we would have driven over to Alabama and attended the graveside service. We also had planned to go over and go fishing, but my son has such limited time with his football schedule, plus the covid mess hit too.
Lee Jarrett has created something magical here with this forum in that it is a wonderful resource for people from all walks of life and various regions of the country to come together. We would have never met Bob—or many other of our close friends here that we talk with and see—but for this forum. The internet is so frequently bemoaned as a negative influence, but here it is a shining example and instrument of bringing good people with common interests closer. And in a time when the world seems hellbent on tearing itself apart over covid, or different beliefs or leanings, or how our laws are enforced, or our society in general.
Any of us can go at anytime. Don't make the mistake of waiting to say the things you should have said, or doing the things you should have done—like our fishing trip with Bob. You never know when it will be too late.
