Are you sure about that? I see a hammer nose rivet and the gun still has a conventional thumbpiece. I thought the MIM hammers cooincided with the introduction of the frame mounted firing pin on centerfires. I know some guns were made with a forged hammer and an MIM trigger, but I thought that was after they started with the MIM thumbpiece.

Yep, correct -5 apparently was the transition over to MIM. Mine is a -4, so they did go back to CC.

Very nice duo Mike. I owned the blued version in 5" when they first came out (29-5), and foolishly traded it off thinking they would be in production just like that one was for some time. BIG MISTAKE!

I have a #29-5 6.5" that was previously owned by a college kid who never heard of an oily rag, it is not pristine. It is a fine shooter, however, and was priced right.
