Weekend project

I love my M&P sport, but one thing about it always bugged me. I realize I have no use for a FA or dust cover at a range, but I was missing the "look"

So I bought an upper, the proper tools and will be swapping it out this weekend.

Spikes tactical upper fits very well and quality might even be better that the s&w upper

Mostly disassembled. Just need access to vice this weekend to remove barrel. I was a little intimidated by the FSBs taper pins, but they came right out no problem. Not sure if the A2 is going back on. Might go with a folding front sight as I hate how the a2 is in my field of view with my red dot

I realize this is money spent on something not needed, but I love the look.

What will I do with the original upper? Prob build another upper assembly in a different caliber. Maybe .300 BLK or 6.5 Grendel. I haven't decided

Still Waiting on a handguard to finish up my weekend project. Was your FA pin as big of a pain in the a** to get in as mine was for me?

Yup! It was a PITA!

I managed to get it started, then figured out I could use a pair of rubber jawed channel locks to press the pin in. Worked like a charm. But tapping the pin was a PITA!

It was harder then getting the FSB pins out!

Thanks but think I'm gonna build a 9mm upper with it. No FA or dust door typically used with those builds
