Went to the outdoor range today..

My woman took her first shooting class today (at the indoor range earlier), then I wanted to let her show me her new skills. So we went to this nice outdoor range that has targets set up out to 1000yds.

So she starts to shoot my Springfield XD40 at 25yds and is doing very well. So I fire one mag thru the S&W M&P15 out to 500yds hitting the metal "bear" that you can hear when hit.

So I say "Why dont you try the rifle?" So I give her the rundown on operating the rifle and she proceeds to aim at the "bear" (500ys) and hits it within 3 shots!!

I was very impressed.

Maybe now she will switch from pistol to another M&P15.

It was a nice day today.

Now I'm gonna break out the Ruger 10/22 for her to really get some practice time in.

I think she is really enjoying the sport of shooting.

638, The range is in eastern washington.
