Went to the worst gunshow I have every been to Friday.

At the El Paso show this weekend, got a box of 45 ACP FMJ at $40, and a bunch of primers. He had them at $30/1000, but when I bought tow boxes it was just $50. I got two boxes of LP and one of SP. Shoulda bought another box.

You had good luck in El Paso.

Couple weeks ago a friend said he was planning on going to a local (Columbus) gun show to try and find some ammo and a couple pistols. I told him to have fun but I'd consider it a waste of my time. Sunday I saw him again and he was exasperated. "Why didn't you warn me how bad show prices are!" he said. Actually I thought I had tried, not my fault if he didn't listen. Said he gave up on buying a pistol and looked for spam cans of 7.62.54R. First table wanted $135 for a 440 rd can. Second wanted $175 and third table he saw $225. He went back to the first table and they were sold out. I expressed appropriate sympathy and sold him a can for $125.

Guess I gave one away this weekend for $95.

Can we see this pistol that shoots 7.62x54R?:D

The shows in Ohio are $6 no parking fee. I always find more things than I can buy at reasonable prices. But there are far more high priced guns and junk. The trick is to look past that stuff and concentrate on what is good. Last show I found a nice pre model 12 for $400 amongst 1000's of high price guns and junk. It's a matter of whether you are going to look for the gems or be overwhelmed by the junk.

I like your thinking. What I am now finding here is, model 12's are cheaper at LGS' than gun shows. Lots cheaper.

I bought 2 M-12's at one LGS here, one made 1926, the action is as tight as new, $275 and 2 weeks ago at the same LGS a 3" heavy duck that is super sharp for $350. It had a replacement pad and a small crack in the wood at the action that s not noticeable and was repaired. It was made in 1947.

They also have user solid 16 gauge in Cylinder for $330. I'm thinking about it, I have a couple of cases of 16 ammo from previous 16's.

I see nasty model 12's and 1200's at shows for $450 and up, that is crazy.

For several years 4 or 5 Win Model 1200's sat and sat at the above LGS. I bought the nicest one, it is 99.9% like new, 3", 32" full choke for $150. It some point in the near future I am going retro with it. I will bag a turkey with it. Just like when I was a kid in the 70's, a Model 1200, blue jeans and a dark jacket. This time it will be a like new one in 3" instead of a $30.00 used beater in 2 3/4.

jag 22

jag 22 I went to Tulsa last week end WOW I walked for 7hrs sat did not stop to eat or go to rest room and still went back for a few hours sunday to see the rest. If you wanted it it was there. Thay say it's the largest in the U. S. and I think thay are right. It is a 9 hour drive one way for me but well worth it.

I went to the show in Lima, Ohio on Saturday and came out with a BSA Martini Cadet rifle converted to .357 fo $350. I'm VERY happy! Bought 1000 Wolf LR primers for $35, as well.
