No way man! I like the feel of skin on skin.

Actually, going through Army Basic Training at Ft. Benning, GA during the summer of 1988 (drought and heat from hell itself

) cured me of underwear forever.

I found (and wear) 1/4" X 1 1/2" wide sturdy, saddle leather belts at more than half that price. In Holmes county made by the Amish. Great belts for holster carry rigs.
I'll have to check that out. Can you narrow it down for me where to look?

I carry a 4" N frame both IWB and OWB hanging from my dual-layer bullhide Beltman and it does not need (nor has) the stiffener.

Just make sure your holster will accept a 1 3/4 wide belt, most are 1 1/2 unless special ordered for 1 3/4. IIRC.

What Pitdog said RE: fitment.
Some (many) IWB may not be able to use the overhand (outside on the belt surface) style clips on a 1 3/4", which are the ones that make the weight ride on the belt. A 1 3/4" typically requires the underhand (between the belt and pants waistband) "J" clips, which makes the weight of the weapon ride the waistband of the pants. Long term wear comfort is better when the weight rides on the belt. But, a good belt makes it MUCH more comfortable, regardless!

I hardly used to carry because I had inferior belts and because I'm a big guy. Since I found The Beltman I carry almost 24/7 I currently own 4 belts. 2 for carry and 2 as dress belts(they're also great looking).

I buy mine at R. W. Leather, 4415 C.R. 114, Sugarcreek, OH. His new shop is on county road 114 off Route 39, between the towns of Walnut Creek and Charm. Like any other Amish store in the area, follow the signs to his shop. It's best to stop anywhere in the area and get a map. Lots of winding roads.

No, I was raised in Orland. "Dusty Miller" is my nom de plume. I use it because time was I fly fished and there's a trout fly by that name.

As a proud owner, I will say, they are worth every penny.

Actually, I'm planning on getting one right after I win the lottery next Saturday!
