What a reloader does when he is really bored

The Son of a guy at my range gets the ends of brass from his work and the boss lets him make solid brass bullets on the shops machines. They are perfect. Can't imagine what they add up to money wise.

Those cases are cool I would love to have something like those.

Fill them up with H110 and let some .177 pellet go 3000 fps!

I read them 38/44s was purty good rounds.. Closest I could come was 38/45. I ain't found just the right gun to shoot it, but I keep lookin'.

That's a cool idea and they are very nicely made. When I get bored I usually read reloading data. I sounds silly, but I get in my mind a broad picture of the useful part of the total range of shooting.

I like fun little toys like that. I can actually see a use for it, perhaps, like indoor point-shoot practice.

Once upon a time, I rigged up a paintball gun to shoot steel blowgun darts. That was a fun little toy, also, but after realizing it had no useful value at all, I sold it.

I was gonna go with sweep/clean / my bench & work area, but I've never been that bored.

Reminds me a lot of the plastic "ammo" you can still buy that just uses a primer.
I have a box of the 44 version around somewhere.
They might even do in a mouse if you could hit one on the run.

They also look a lot like the laser sight adjusting chamber insert I have for 44's.
Very cool oddities.

When I get bored out of my mind, I clean primer pockets. I try to stay busy...

I have always done this as a matter of course-- always after a good cleaning and 1 first polish, just because. Then resize the brass and there is no worry about the media in the flash holes-- used to do them while watching the game but of late I just chuck the brush in an 8 volt DeWalt screwdriver and have at it. Takes less than 5 minutes to do a box of 50. Also have used a regular cordless DeWalt drill for this operation--

Those would be for a basement range in cold weather. Shoot from home with .177 pellets and a primer, don't worry about noise or penetration. Pellet traps were available and probably still are.

I sold about 15 different caliber setups so he was a reloader. 45x70--9mm. I spent 3 weeks selling things for his sister online. When I sold everything that would sale she ask me how much do I owe you? I said whatever you think. She gave me $40 cash. I made about $1 per hour. I really wonted the Sharps. None of the guns were for sale. They didn't need the money.

I can see why "They didn't need the money". She was a cheapskate.
