Someone of you guys can tell me about 686-4 2 1/2 barrel?
I'm going to get it from a friend of a friend of mine for 300,00 Euro (almost 400,00 USD). It looks new. Forcing cone and everything looks like the gun has never fired one round.
What about this particolar model 686 generation 4?
Thank you in advance for every reply.

$400 would be a really good price here in the USA, they typically sell for $550 or more. The 686-4 is considered by many to be the finest version produced. It still has a forged trigger and hammer, but includes the new style rear sight and a drilled and tapped frame. You probably won't mount optics on a 2-1/2" gun, but the option is there if you decide to. The -4 was also the first offered in a Plus version (7 shot). You should feel lucky!

Thank you Chad, I appreciate that. I'm looking forward to have this revolver at home.

P.S.
What does it mean " I also cook " in your reply? You really like to cook or what else? Maybe italian food?
