Have been learning to shoot my new 4" Shield Plus PC and are getting some very Nice 15 yard iron sight groups. I had already gotten some outstanding 15 and 20 yard groups using an MRD sight but I removed that to sight in my iron sights. Only problem is they are 3-3.5" to the left of my POA. Groups are not the least bit to high or low just to far left. As nearly all M&P owners especially those that own Shield's know moving the dovetail sights on a Shield is VERY VERY hard and darned near impossible if at the range to sight in your iron sights if you need to adjust your front sight for a change in POI.
I did just finish installing a set of XS F8 sights on my new 3" Shield plus and it was HUGE PITA in my reloading room using my bench vise that easily weights 75-80lbs. Thankfully got very lucky and the new sights needed no adjustment.
But as I said my 4" Performance Center Shield Plus is printing 3-3.5" to the left and I confirmed this having now shot at least 10 five shot 15 yard groups and five 10 shot 15 yard groups all using a sandbag rest over two range trips. You could literally lay one group target sheet over over another and they line up near perfectly so I know its not my shooting form, plus I have ZERO flyers to the right literally every shot fired hits left of my POA.
I already posted a question asking for advice on simplifying sight adjustment and everyone who replied suggested I get a sight pushing tool.
Does anyone know of a reasonably priced sight adjustment tool they own and have used that will reliably adjust or even remove Shield Dovetail sights that will not damage my sights, slide or itself adjusting or removing Shield dovetailed sights.
