What are some other words, terms that mean Revolver?

Hey handejector, I guess that gives a new meaning on, "spare the rod and spoil the child!" Those old timers must have been pretty rough on their kids from that!

Old Biblical name for a light weapon, as in Psalm 125:3-

"For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hand into iniquity"

I swear I heard someone in some movie refer to a "cylinder gun".
Honestly. But that sucks. We're really reaching, now.

I've heard the term "hogleg" used to describe the old SAA Colts.

Fitz Special is another term that applies to a specific style of revolver.

Digitally actuated rotary magazine optically oriented directionally controlled semi-contained explosion facilitated projectile launcher.

I'm disappointed that within this august forum we cannot come up with more audacious vernacular then that which has been offer-up to date. Howz about:

"Pearl-handled contraption of death"

or:

"Steelie-barreled dispatcher of justice"

or:

"Notch-encrusted, hexagonal, large-bored bad guy dissapaitor"

Geez, and I thought there were some cunning linguists around here. -S2

If it's being described by a news reporter, it's an "automatic, assault-type, high capacity, unregistered, clip fed revolver".

Plow handle.

It refers to the shape of the grips and frame of a single action Colt type revolver.

You gots to be old enough to have had your mitts on an old horse drawn plow to understand, but the resemblance is there.
