What are these M&P AR-10 308 going for?

Did I ever say it was garbage? did anyone say it was garbage? I must have missed that, I just stated that I would hold out for something else.

I am not a fan of a pencil barreled .308 because they heat up QUICK in my experience, I cant hold the groups I do with a heavy barreled offering. Just my personal preference.....

Great info and Thanks for it. If you do not mind, can you describe how much your groups are differing from a heavy barrel and after how many continuos rounds as well as the amount of time between shots or sets.

if you are associated with law enforcement or military they had them for 975 shipped a couple days ago in stock at buds police supply. Plus a 100 nations finest rebate for active duty . So thats 875 total plus FFL fee, i ship to base to avoid any state taxes. Im kicking myself in the arse for not getting , soon as they get back in stock I'm pulling the trigger. Got a MP15 TS for 997 with rebate the other day

Yup, I bought the last one they had, should be to my FFL TOMORROW!!!

I thought that the rebate did not work for the M&P10, guess I will have to try. If I can get another hundred knocked off it just makes the buy that much sweeter. I told the wife it wouldn't last at that price and this time of the year and I was right.
$975+$20 transfer, to the door for under a grand, I'm happy!

While the ambidextrous lower is a plus, the hand guard is unshielded, plastic only, the barrel diameter lends itself to heating and stringing shots, the flash supressor is funky looking and modular triggers will not drop in. I'd be a buyer at $1K but would pass, for the reasons listed above, at higher prices. In $2K+ range, I'd recommend Colt 901 instead.

Everyone has their preferences and dollar thresholds.
ambi is nice, I like the left side mag button.

The handguard, S&W stated they figured most would swap it out anyway, and most do

I am not aware of any barrel warpage issues (not a mag dumper nor am I in some 3rd world litterbox shooting hajies)
