No. Steel is real and stainless is real steel. I can barely tolerate the red insert in the front sights of some S&W revolvers! 1911 - yes!

Yeah but a Glock just dont feel right IMHO.

I bought one because it was inexpensive and featured a small grip. My wife annexed it immediately and I got my SP-101 4" .22LR back.

I was kidding about the ergos; the sigmas are wonderful.
I've got a Glock 19. I had an XD-9. I've got a Colt Commander. I've owned a bunch of other guns over the years. The Sigma does the same thing all the others do. Yea, the trigger is "worse" but it's not as bad as some other guns I've owned. It's not as good as a Glock or the XD. Those guns cost twice as much. I'd expect the triggers to be better. They BETTER be better, when you come right down to it.
My Sigma did choke on a box of bad reloads. My own reloads by the way. With factory ammo, it runs like it's supposed to, and hits where I expect it to.
For the money the Sigma is a good buy. I don't shoot mine a lot, but then I'm a "revolver guy."

I'm a little lukewarm on it lately since i've had a few issues with FTF/FTE that came out of the woodwork (still under investigation). Up until then I was pretty happy with it. The proprietary rail is a real headscratcher, I agree with the poster who said that.
I probably won't buy another but I don't regret my purchase either.

I voted other, I like my sigma it always goes bang, but because it is my cheapest gun it goes a lot of places I don't want to carry a more expensive gun, like in the canoe, wade fishing, back packing, tractor etc. Stainless and plastic, don't worry too much about an occasional dunking.

It is my fail safe pistol. And I don't mean maybe. The only time my 9 has failed is when I have asked 100 X of what the lawyers want it to produce! And I feel I was very honest about the extractor failure. I had been shooting the snot out of it!!!! FTF,,, my fault. Not letting the trigger reset! Mine won't bump fire,,,,, but it's close.
Leave that to the CZ-52 and M&P .45,,,,
The 9VE has a very special place in my rotation. It always get 200 rounds put through it,,,, every time I go shoot. My Sigma ALWAYS goes to the range with me. My Sigma is always loaded except for cleaning and range edict. It is always!
It's little cheap arse brother is my PF-9. My abuse cracked the slide,,,, whoops! Fixed, it is what I want S&W to make in 9mm......

After some work and well over 2000 rounds, mine is a fine shooter. It takes some getting used to, but for what it is, I got no complaints. Is it as good as my Glock 30SF, i'd be BS'ing you (and myself) if I said yes. Then again, it wasn't $575 either.
My friend next door has one, but in his own words its never let him down but it is always in the back of his mind, and he wishes he had saved a little more and got the M&P

S&W DA revolvers have been my favorites (outside of Bullseye shooting with HighStandards and 1911's).
A few years ago, I found the KelTec P-11 as a really neat carry gun, and love it. It is what a concealed carry gun should be.
But I bought an 9mm AF and found out about 16+1 (very useful for carry), and then after the first couple thousand rounds, liked it so much I bought 2 more 9's and a 40. The 40 is easier for me to shoot than any of them, and will be used in IDPA in the spring.
