I voted 10mm since I could only vote for one, but I carry 9mm, .357 magnum, 10mm, .45 ACP, and .44 magnum depending on circumstances.

158 gr.LSWCHP +P .38 Special Most times. In a J frame.

Some times a K frame 66 or 686 loaded with .357 HP With the J as a BUG and .38 spare ammo.

The long trips may determine what is taken. I live in the country and the J frame works fine most times.
When 9/11 happened I was in Minneapolis which is a good distance from home . I felt under gunned in this case.

Put 44 mag and 44 special under other. I left them out.

Huge oversight on this forum mate! :D I prefer 9mmP because I can carry a generous amount of spare ammo. I used to carry an N-frame .357 but the weight and bulk of the speed loaders just don't make sense anymore.

Thanks.

If there is enough interest, I'll redo the poll in a month or two with more choices.

I'll also try to figure out how to allow more than one vote per userid.

Also, be sure to add .356TSW as an option.

If for no other reason, it would be polite here on the S&W Forum. :)

Carried the Remington .38 Special +P 158 grain LSWCHP in a 640 no-dash for years. Since Remington appears to have watered down the fine old FBI load I'm now carrying Buffalo Bore's standard pressure 158 grain LSWCHP-GC, which is the equivalent of the good Remington stuff ballistically, with low-flash powder and gas-check. So I checked .38 Special +P anyway.
