What computers are easy to use..

Yeah, I had a very bad experience with Dell a few years ago. Screen on laptop died 14 days after receiving and Dell gave me nothing but problems. I wouldn't buy a Dell product no matter what the price. I had to get the Utah Attorney General involved. I have had many HPs over the years and any problem I had was always handled quickly and fairly.

I'm glad the Dell is going back........

I got my return on it. I've had HP Laptops and been happy with them. Over the years they seem to have lost a lot of standing. They had a Lenovo AMD for a good price, but of course they quit making them. I paid more (of course) and got an Intel processor.

I would also recommend Lenovo. Never had one but the medical practice I use has three, I guess 14" in the lobby for patients to use and I fine I like them and they seem rugged and well built. I am becoming a Mac person in a hurry but some applications for my hobby of ham/Amateur radio either downright won't work on mac or just work better on Windows. So I am looking at getting a Lenovo for that purpose. I have two other laptops that were both windows one on 8 when new and the other on 7 so when MS came out with 10 and offered the free upgrade like an idiot I did it now both of them are just marginal as to what they were with the original OS. So needless to say I won't do anything like that again.

IMHO the iMac's are slightly easier but basically they are all pretty much the same. There is a learning curve with new model since technology has changed, but I've found that sooner or later we all figure them out.

The basic difference between a PC and a Mac is that the Mac's have a longer useful life expectancy. We have two Macs (one is 8 years old and the other is 13) and both still work descent enough that I have not bought a new one yet. The two PC's we have are totally shot! One is a Dell and the other is a Toshiba. I will soon tear out their hard drives, destroy them and toss the rest. I have never gotten more than 4 years or so out of a PC.

Mac's also have far superior monitor screens. If you are at the computer often, the Mac's monitor will make a huge difference - at least it does for me.

I'll raise your DOS and 8086 with a Commodore PET running BASIC with cassette player storage...or a HP-85 with their BASIC and proprietary tape drive system.
I just trashed an advanced copmyuter-a Compaq with windows 98.
Seriously though, LOVED my HP laptop took it everywhere. It finally gave up the ghost. DId what I should have done years ago and put myself in the hands of a friend who orders, builds and manages an IT system for a larhe company. Told her my needs, touch screen, camera, speakers (for ZOOM) blue tooth as I MUST be able to use a stand alone mouse. Nees word processing bankruptcy programme and storage for small law practice amount of documents (read not need prodigious storage). Getting a porpose built Dell with 16Gb RAM and something called s SSD hard drive which is mo betta than the old hard drive. Said that I didn't need anything over 256gb of memory so I'm trusting her on this one.
Best experience I have ever had buying a new computer.
Tell her what I want and lie back and let her do her thing, When she is finished, I just pay the bill she leaves and am done with it. Until I need her again.
