What constitutes an "Arsenal"

News stories out today say Adam Lanza's house had an "arsenal" of guns and ammo. What constitutes an "arsenal"? 2 guns, 5 guns, 10 guns, amount of ammo, etc? I really could not find anything on the WWW that adequately defines an "Arsenal"

Saw a news story locally complaining because he had a gun safe with 1200 or so rounds and a check for a new gun.

The stuff that makes news is ridiculous. That being said I have 10 guns and well over 1000 rounds of 9mm, 45, and rifle rounds. I guess I'm a horrible person now

I've heard he had 2 handguns, a rifle, a shotgun and his mother had given him a check for the next gun purchase...

And 100's of rounds... HUNDRED'S!! He made it sound like A.L. had just bought 1 ton of plutonium...

Depends on where you live. In Texas probably at least a couple dozen guns per household. To the media, more than one gun, to include BB guns, and more than a couple dozen rounds of ammo. to include any BBs.

Right now my arsenal is 3 guns and about 400 rounds of ammunition. That's right..... hundreds.

Question: For mass murderers having hundreds or thousands of rounds of ammunition is about average. This is what they always find in their homes AFTER the fact. How many rounds do they actually USE? Who cares what they find at home after the violence has already been perpetrated?

My Late Arsenal

I had an arsenal once; a large one; more than 4 guns (counting the bb gun). Sadly, all were lost in that darn boating disaster. Along with a goodly supply of ammunition - almost 600 rounds (counting the bb's).
