What defensive ammo are you carrying in your J frame?

125 Hornady XTP HP,I've got Buffalo Bore but had one that didn't fire the first time,as far as I'm concerned I can't trust my family's life to them. I've never had a problem with Hornady.

Right now its Winchester Western 38 Special
200gr "Super Police."

I haven't figured it out, but my M36 shoots point of aim with them. Everything else shoots them high.

Are you kidding?

A 158gr LSWC/HP .38 Special +P round, the "FBI Load" Currently I'm carrying the Remington offering, Part #R38S12. The current Federal FBI Load is alright too but I wouldn't use the Winchester load in a short barrel revolver, it's fine in a 4" revolver though. (bullet is harder)

I carry Buffalo Bore's 158 LSWCHP G/C +P also. I carry Double Tap 125gr +P'a as a reload, because the lead bullets were getting all mushed up in the speedloader.

When I was allowed to carry .357 mag (my old department): PMC Eldorado Star Fires in a 640-1.

My new dept limits us to .38 Spcl, so I carry Gold Dot in a 442.

I forgot... when I was allowed to carry .357, I often carried Silvertips, too. Always a big fan of the .357 Silvertip!

Speer Gold Dot 38 Special+P 135 grain (it's the one one that specifies 'short barrel') in my 642.

As of now I am carrying federal personal defense 110 gr , hydro shok jhp in my model 37 airweight ,25 years old. I also have carried and shot hydro shock bullets and have some still ,not sure of brand .
