What did you get yourself for your Birthday and or Christmas ?

I got something for a different kind of shooting. ;) I got a new DSLR for daily carry. Wanted one I wouldn't mind having it bouncing around in the truck everyday and the point & shoot wasn't doing it for me. ;)

My wife and I have been looking off and on for a replacement of her Lady Smith 65-5 that I purchased for her brand new on 03/28/1994 which was 1 month and 10 days after we were married for $392.00. It may have 300 rounds through it. The gun seems to have grown in value so it will be a "safe queen".

Today she purchased her "own" (stupid CO law ****) firearm and she picked up a beautiful new S&W 637-2 Performance Center .38 Spl +P (with very little prodding). We found a really , really cool gun shop and soon to be indoor range close to home. The people there are so patient and helpful and the prices are very fair. It does have a lock but it is a sweet little revolver and fits her really well. Since CO law (stupid) will not allow me to touch it she will need to learn how to clean it all by herself. If we ever move to a free state I sure would like to try a PC...(I mean I'm not jealous or anything but I have wanted a 627 (8) shot PC snubby for so long and she beat me on the PC track...). Oh well gotta love a lady that understands pure quality (taught by yours truly BTW). It's OK...I am fine, really am...

I got an Uberti 1885 Winchester High Wall 45-70 with 30" octagon barrel. I also picked up a Lee Shaver sight set for it. I pick it up Saturday.:D

Bought myself a Ruger LC9s Pro. I've carried an LC9 for awhile as an off duty gun. I could shoot it well but never cared for the long trigger pull. When I found the striker fired version I had to have one. LC9 sold and got this. Trigger is awesome. Wish my M&Ps had a trigger this nice. I've put 100 rounds through it yesterday and it's also a great shooter.

I also ordered myself a M&P 9mm FS. Getting the LEO version with the PVD finish, 3 mags and night sights.

Sig P938 Blackwood. What a little beauty.

Before Christmas I was looking at Cabela's website. I saw that they had a replica 1958 Remington New Army .44 black powder revolver, that comes with a spare cylinder on sale. While I was trying to convince myself I didn't "need" it, I noticed an additional on-line $20 rebate offer. Then the coup de grace... I remembered I had a $25 Cabela's gift card in my billfold from last Christmas. It shipped free to my local store on the 23rd and I hope to get it sometime next week. Although I've had a muzzle loading rifle quite a while, I've never owned or shot a cap and ball revolver. I'm looking forward to it.
