Do you buy your own Christmas presents?

I got myself one this year. I stopped by the only pawn shop in town. Sign in the door said jewelry 25% off. After I checked the tools and guns I went to the jewelry display and saw a nice Masonic ring. Way to small for my meat hooks' ring finger, but went on my pinky just a little bit loose, walked out the door with it for about $35 less than the value of its 14 carat gold. I will get a jeweler to snug it up a little bit.

I buy myself pretty much what I want or need the rest of the year so no need for the wife or kids to get me anything. Same for the spouse, she gets what she needs or wants anytime of the year. I like to spoil the grandkids……so giving is what I prefer.

Normally we don’t but as we get older we have started doing this.
Mrs meaneyedcatz said she wanted a necklace with the grandkids initials on it. POOF!! Done.
I was perusing the Rockler woodworking catalog and thought outload about a branding iron. She said it was a great idea, now order it.
Then I grabbed some of my cash, not hers, and told her she buying me a router table.
So yes we do.

Misses Good Wife gets visit to the hair stylist every week. Lets see mim $20.00 per week 52 weeks a year, that comes out to more than my $300.00 old marlin .22 microgroove bolt action rifle so yes in a way we do buy our own gifts.

BTW I hope Rugar keeps the machinery to produce the micro groove bbls.

As I age the main thing to me is what caliber gun for my 2 Great Grandson's sons born late last year they could want?

A friend of mine bought the great grandkids Cooper Rifle's "Jackson" bolt action 22 rifles. You pick the serial number (within reason) for the rifle and the Leupold 2-7x32 RF scope has a matching number. If you order soon, they should have them by Christmas 2026.

Some gifts are intangible, my two youngest granddaughters got to meet each other for the first time. You wouldn't have thought two 4-year-olds could have missed each other for 20 years! The gift of family, The gift that lasts a lifetime!

I think daughter #3 got this “Snoop on a Stoop” for me for some unknown reason. I put him on a Crystal Head Vodka bottle, basically because it was here and I like decorative skulls. He’s put away for now till next season. (Halloween until whenever.)

Sometimes I pass Gas.
My Family like me better when I pass Cash.
Have given up trying to determine what presents to buy.
They all seem to be happy with the new plan.

I recently bought a grail gun for myself. 3” 629 Classic Hunter. I wanted to ditch the factory Pachs ASAP. I’m awaiting delivery of a set of Grasshorn stags from a member here. To complete the package my wife is buying me a Bronze T Grip. Kind of a Valentine’s gift. However I’m expecting it to arrive around next Christmas. So she gets to kill two birds with one stone.
