What did you load today?

50 rds of 357 - 5.7gr Universal under a 158gr LSWC. Fairly tame load, but I wanted some light magnums to run thru my new Chiappa Rhino snub at the range tomorrow. I've also got 200rds of 38 SPL handloads, about 100 of Remington UMC 38 SPL +P, and maybe 40 full tilt American Eagle 158gr 357 JSP.

I'm bringing the chrono and several different factory defensive loads to test as well.

It's gonna be fun!

Loaded the last 100 of 500

.45 ACP rounds consisting of a 200 gn PFP bullet over Tighhtgroup loaded to a 178 PF. (I won't publish it here as it is slightly over the recommended max load but in my SA 1911 all published data was low).

Cases were new Winchester brass recently purchased. This ammo is for our IPSC Nationals in late November. (I shoot our North Islands this weekend and 10 days later start our big road trip. I only get back into the country again 5 days before the Nationals start).

This gives me around 1100 loaded competition rounds (primer seating double checked in a press out primer after original loading in Lee Auto Prime and then barrel dropped into a very dirty chamber) as well as 300-400 practice rounds remaining (primers not double checked and not barrel dropped).

.40 S&W 180 grain Zero TCFM with 4.2 grains of 231. Then change the Dillon over to .357 to load some 'indoor' loads just under 900 fps.

Yesterday I worked on some 45 Colt reloads. My cast 255 RNFP, from 20-1, alloy was loaded over some True Blue in once fired Winchester brass. For my new Cimarron SAA...

Just finished 300 .222 Remington cases. Loaded every 20 with different bullet / powder combinations.

I got back into the .222 business after an absence of 5 years by purchasing both a 1997 built Rem. 700 BDL and a brand new CZ 527 American Varmint heavy barrel.

An anxious to get to the shooting range I built at the cabin I own part of in a nearby mountain county..............soon!

Tonight I resized and decapped around 200 44 Mag cases, then primed 500 44 Mag cases. And I just finished loading up 100 with 9.5 grains of Unique topped off with coated MBC 240 grain RNFP "Smashers". That was the last of my MBC bullets. Tomorrow I will load the rest with some Zero 240 grain JSP bullets with a few various powders. I'm thinking of loading some with 2400, maybe another 100 or so with some HP38 and maybe some with some Blue Dot and Longshot.

Just finished 250 .38 Specials: Federal brass, Federal primers, 3.6gr Clays under a Bayou Bullets 160gr LRN coated. Intended for revolver class IDPA.

I finished loading the other 400 rounds of 44 Mag. All with the Zero 240 grain JSP bullets, but each separate 100 with different powders. I loaded 10 grains HP-38, 11.5 grains Longshot, 12.0 grains Blue Dot and 20.0 grains 2400.

150 rounds of .38 special, 158 grain lead SWC over 4.3 grains of HP38.

100 rds of 44 Mag - 11gr of Universal under a 180gr coated LSWC

100 rds of 44 Rus - 4.8gr Titegroup under a 180gr coated LSWC

38 special. 105 grain swc's that I cast myself, over .3 cc's (a little over 2 grains) of Unique to shoot out of my air weight snub nose for double action practice. Full power loads out of an air weight hurt my hand. I ain't no superman.

After stripping down just under 800 rounds of 9mm loaded with wrong powder and bullet for my guns (Hornady Cam Lock Bullet Puller for 9mm?) and then 500 competition rounds after deciding to change powders, I hit the reloading bench for 90 minutes this afternoon.

Thos 500 competition rounds are now loaded with the new powder, 4.7 gn W231 under a 124 gn plated round nose bullet. All I need to do now is barrel drop the rounds and I'm good to go for the first comp of the year in 4 weeks time.

After reloading and firing off as practice rounds most of the cases for the "wrong" 9mm in both my Kimber 1911 and Tanfolglio P19 fitted to a carbine frame load, I filled the last 260 with the same 4.7 gn W231 with a 125 gn LRN sitting on top. These I will fire off in the next week or two in my practice sessions. Interestingly those LRN bullets are reclaimed too after they proved not to be that accurate at distances over 15 meters with the old powder (Tightgroup) in my Tanfolglio CZ75alike. But I resorted to using them after running out of my 124 PRN projectiles. The supplier is out of stock and new stock is not due into the country until the 26th of this month. I can't wait that long to shoot.

About 80 more 45 ACP "Just n Case" ammo; mixed brass, CCI LP primers, 5.0 Bullseye under a 230 FMJ. Works quite well in my 3, 45 ACP guns. Ups my stash to about 1,100 rounds...

I shoot these rounds for "trigger time" and keep them handy in case we have to evacuate, they are in a bag next to 2 grab and go pistols (tsunami, forest fires, etc.)...

Loaded 100 110 grain 300 Blackout, 200 115 grain 9 x 19, and 200 200 grain 45 ACP rounds.

Just finished testing some 10mm and 38 Supers. They ranged from mild to 100 proof. Now it's time to add the results to my database for future reference.
