i dont know much about the revolver models,what i have is a 38sp with serial # between the bottom of the grips ''j1412**'' thats all the numbers it has on it can anyone tell me what i have? thanks

How long is the bbl, does it have an exposed hammer, and how many rounds will the cylinder hold, that's some of the questions that will need to be answered to solve your mystery.

It's a 1973-74 J frame. Open the cylinder and read the model number stamped on the yoke cut (ie. MOD 36).

from the cylinder to the end of the bbl is 3in. it has an exposed hammer and is nickel plated with five round cylinder and now i see mod.36 inside after i open the cylinder,it looks like a new gun and the box does to,have any idea on what its worth?
