What do you collect (besides guns)?

I collect telephone glass insulators, or used to. I haven't been serious about it for years. Have a few good ones and one old threadless one that is valued at a $1000. Was really into it when I was still working for Ma Bell. Since retiring I have been too busy with competitive shooting and other hunting stuff.

I'm getting too old to collect things now, guns are the exception. Everything I've collected over the years is slowly getting given to kids and grand kids.

To honor my alias  i collect safety/straight razors.

Is that a Blue Racer key?

We found one about 10 years ago at an antique show. My son was studying for his ham license and wanted a key. I gave him my father's WWII key, and the Blue Racer. He took it to a ham fest locally to see what the old guys with experience had to say. They were impressed with the key, but more impressed with the box the key came in, and the original UPS wrapping. They'd never seen that before. I guess it was a good $20 I spent buying it.... :)

I accumulate foreign coins/currency, shot glasses and police memoribilia.

Is that a Blue Racer key?

No, that one is an "Original", presentation model with the chrome and gold. The Blue Racers have a narrower base. I have a WWII vintage BR in the black crinkle finish and a "Deluxe" chrome plated one. $20 would be a real steal for any Vibroplex, particularly a Blue Racer.

I also collect U.S. military knives and bayonets. Here's a representative piece - an OSS stiletto with its original "pancake flipper" scabbard.

Pocket knives, cop "stuff", old impact weapons (cosh's, convoys, saps, blackjacks, etc...) Military knives, Toyota 4-runner parts...gonna build mine back one day...and want to start collecting Southern Railroad Memorabilia..

J.A. Henckels products, knives, razers, tools and marketing matterials. Henckels is the oldest manufacture of knives still in business today, founded in 1731.
