What do you think??

Do you think that his claim is legit or do you think that the cylinder is a replacement?

I don't think his claim is legit and I do not think the cylinder is a replacement. As a follower of the '3-5-7' series of revolvers made by S&W and sold by S&W and those sold thru 'Talo', I believe that S&W produced those '3-5-7's' with fluted cylinders thru their regular channels. The Talos' were only unfluted. I have seen the fluted '3-5-7's' at gun shows and (if memory is correct) S&W also listed them on their site for those that wanted 3" 5" 7" s' in regular cylinder.

either way, that's a $900 msrp gun, and i'm scratching my head to understand why anyone would pay $300 over msrp for a used gun that isn't a collector's item.

I bought my 3" 3-5-7 from Sportsman's Warehouse. It was $800. So $400 over street cost.

i paid full msrp at my LGS for a 5" a year ago. i know street price was lower than that before the riots started, but afaik they've never been going for above msrp like glocks and shotguns have.
