What does she REALLY mean?

she is intelligent i assume? then dont second guess her choice. :)
imagine you dropping hints on a 3 1/2" 27-2 and she brought home a taurus ,cause she didnt want to spend that much and she thought this would make you just as happy
my wife said dont buy her guns but shes very happy with the 2 i have got her, and asks which pair of single actions are hers...NEITHER! but i say it real quiet..:)

It's over. I took her to Cabela's without telling her the reason. We got to the Gun Library and she made a beeline to the Woodsman. I acted casual and eventually made it to the case and asked an employee to see it. He took out the 6" piece and she held it but thought it was too heavy. So I asked to see the 4". She said it was just okay. I told her to decide because she was buying one today. We walked around the store while she thought about it. I showed her similar guns like the cheaper Colt Challenger and High Standards. We took another look at the Colts and left with nothing. I think she just admires the Colt without wanting to own it. I can understand that be since she is a citizen now I wanted her to experience of gun ownership.

All is not lost though because I found a model 29 that I want!

If she's mentioned it more than once, especially if you are away from the store, then I would say she is dropping you a subtle hint. That's just a guess of course.
Why can't women just come out and say, "I really like the look of that gun. Wish I had one". It would make our lives so much easier!

I suspect they think they are saying exactly that!!

It may not be over, actually. Methinks you now need an interpretation of "it's too heavy." Does that mean she actually likes it but thinks its too expensive?

To me it sounds like she does want it. She's just a frugal woman and can't justify spending that kind of money on something she wants rather than something she needs.
If you don't buy her that gun and get yourself a gun instead then that'll make you a big poopy head.
Mrs. Snubbyfan agrees whole heartedly and says, "don't be a poopy head!"

WHAT REALLY LURKS IN THE MIND OF WOMEN?

Men it's easy, NOTHING. Women we will likely never know. The only fact for sure (according to what she said) is she likes the MKll. Mine says she loves whatever, then the day after it's too late to return, she hates it.
