What does the -8 stand for on the 586?

I just became the owner of a 586-8 with the 6" barrel. I can find information on everything up to the -7 but nothing on the -8. That you for your help.

For that you need SCSW 4th Edition. It is just the engineering change that covers the reintroduction of the 586 as part of the Classic Series (2012) and includes the IL.
