Looking at the Pro Series 1911 Product #178011 which according to the web site is 41 oz's and therefore IDPA Legal.
But, when I asked the S&W Store a couple of days ago they said they weighed it while I was on the phone and it was 38.75 oz's ... so much the better for me.
When I called them today, I was told they don't have a Scale ? Gives me no confidence in the first answer I got.
You can see from my other posts on a related gun (1911DK) weight ... I got 4 different answers regarding the weight ... and today, a very nice CS Rep went on her lunch hour, got one from the service area and weighed it for me ... 41.7 oz's with Mag so the 1911DK is history for me ... I'll go with the Pro Series instead, assuming it really is 41Oz's.
Hopefully, one of you has the Pro Series 1911, Product Number 178011 and knows, or can find out the Exact Weight ,,, which may vary, depending on which Magazines you are using.
