What does your significant other carry?

My wife confiscated my Model 49 .38 Special shortly after I bought it. I sure miss it. I did, however find a Model 649 as a replacement, it's close but I'm a fan of "blue steel". And yes I tried to trade her. Me, "it's the same thing only in stainless steel.." her, "Then why are trying to give it to me?"

In addition to the checkbook and most of the credit cards the 'harpy' can usually be found sporting a very fetching Mod 36.

I don't carry. I carried for thrity years at the sharp end of almost every conflict since 1979. As a result, there are an infinite number of things I might be willing to die for, but there is absolutely nothing I will ever again kill for, nothing. I don't and won't carry.

WIFES GUN

I usually tell her, "just nag them to death". she is not really a gun person but has fired some of mine and agrees to keep one handy if I'm not gonna be around or when she was called in to work at late hours. it's whatever I happen to give her, fully loaded and in a holster. something simple with no safeties (the way I like them too). she is told and understands the gun is to remain in the holster until her life is at risk. then and only then remove the gun from the holster, point it, like pointing your finger, at the largest part visable of the threat and squeeze the trigger until the threat is gone. usually it's some type of 38 special snubnose. her favorite was a colt agent alloy frame with pachmayer fingergroove grips. as for REVOLVERS UNDER 6" BEING FOR SISSIES, I guess there an awful lot of pro's that are sissies.

Lady Kozmic is partial to her Shield 9. Lately I've tended to carry either an XDS .45 or a FN P 9.

Ruger DAO SP101 with a 2.25-inch barrel carried in a lobo pancake. She does not shoot magnums but does very well with +P 38 specials.

I haven't shot the 2 inch version but I have the 5 inch version of the Chiappa Arms Rhino. I would love to see how the snubby shoots. Shooting from the lower cylinder on my 5 inch Rhino, there is virtually no muzzle flip and the recoil just pushes back into your hand. I love it and would love to get a 2 inch to carry. I saw the 2 inch on Guns and Ammo TV and the guy that shot it did so from quite a distance to show its accuracy.

She carries a Bersa 380. This after trying at least a dozen others, mostly Smiths.

I carry a 649 or a Colt Commander depending on what I'm wearing that day, weather, etc.

Wife carried a Sig P232, (Sorry no S&W) BUT, I recently got a S&W M60 snubbie for her. Have not taken her out to the range yet, but we will see! Reason for the Snubbie is that I noticed with age she is having a bit of a problem racking the gun now and also loading those Mags are a pet peeve for her! I thought a Snubbie might be better, so Lets see!

Mine carries a Ruger LCP, I keep trying to talk her into an Airweight but she's stubborn (she's put up with me for 36 years).

On duty she carries a Sig P229 .357 Sig. She rarely carries off duty, but when she does, it is the same pistol.

Mine lady carries the one she picked out at a gun show last year:

It is so light I loaded it with 148 grain wadcutters........I figure anything else would really recoil in a 12 ounce revolver!!!

What on earth is that? I don't recognize it.

Beretta Tomcat .32 Auto. Mouse gun? Perhaps, but she knows how to shoot, and I would not want to be in front of it. :D

I carry XD-9 subcompact or if I need something smaller and lighter I carry 342pd. Both fit great in my purse. I am looking into purchasing the XDS or M&P Shield, but haven't decided yet on what to buy since I just started looking.

My wife carries something much more lethal than than a gun....... they are called CREDIT CARDS and she is quite dangerous with them!
