It is a K-38 Masterpiece, probably shipped in 1948. On my list is K37448, also a K-38 Masterpiece, that shipped on November 1, 1948.

Yours looks to be in excellent condition and probably wears its original Magna stocks.

Agree, it is a late 1940s K-38 Masterpiece and it appears original and correct. Sold principally for competitive target shooting. Bullseye target shooting was popular at that time. There were also .22 and .32 caliber versions of essentially the same revolver.
