I really enjoy shooting at oddball objects, one of which was a recent can of spray foam,,, a bit messy. Today I got to experiment on an old {1997} Sony tube type TV that still worked but was causing the floor to sag,,, almost. That thing was HEAVY. So I stated by taking it all apart until the tube was exposed. I laid a blanket over the tube and wacked it with a hammer,,, nothing. I put a .22 short in my 43C and let it have it,,, nothing. Hardly even chipped it. So,,, out came the .357 and the tube found it's match,,, total devastation. I found out why the thing was so dang heavy and durable, the glass in most of the tube was almost an inch thick which did make quite a mess in the yard but not quite as bad as the spray foam. Tried to load pic of glass but won't work,,, sorry.

Besides regular targets, I use paper plates with stick-on dots and an occasional spray can, milk jug or beer can. Yes, I bring everything home with me for proper disposal.

Last thing I shot that would fit the OP's "oddball object" definition would be a computer hard drive. It's a good idea to make sure that your hard drive is destroyed to prevent important personal info from falling into the wrong hands...........so, I like to poke a lot of bullet holes through my hard drives. Been doing that for years (every time I replace a computer).:)

I shoot at a private range in town. We are not allowed to bring anything to shoot at other than targets. Once in awhile they have a golf ball shoot with 22 pistols. That's fun, but things that explode are much more fun. That's why I love watching videos on Youtube by Hickok45. It's a kick watching him shoot stuff and then giggle like a little kid. If I could have my own range at home, I'd want it to be like his.

I shot what might be my last deer this year. I wasn't much interested last year and only killed 3. This year I went the first afternoon and saw 1 but couldn't get a shot. I went the second morning and killed a spike and didn't hunt anymore. The first deer I ever shot was a spike and it was a spike this year so I guess I finished like I started. It's less trouble too shoot clay targets and tin cans and at this stage of my life it's just as much fun. Larry

Last Friday it was frosty/frozen prairie cow patties while testing out my new Taurus Spectrum .380 - I put those patties through some .380 acp HELL. They tried "laying low" but when I stuck that little 90 grain pill under them they jumped up and flew in all directions - It was cow patty PANIC on the prairie !!

Good thing you didn't cause a stampede!

It seems like....

....my target stands are a favorite target. It's usually not me but I know I'm guilty a few times.

I was sighting in a new AR build and the shots were too low on the target to really tell, so I did some 'Kentucky Elevation' at a nearby soda can and got a kick when it flew away like a dove with it's tail on fire.

Couple of guys.......

Who were trying to steal my compressor!!!!!!

JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!!

Like some others our range does not allow anything other than paper and their steel, Halloween we have pumkin shoots.

But out in the bush we take expired 10 and 20 # propane bottles, lots of fun but once I hit the center weld bead with a 44, came back and hit me in the stomach, It was cold so I had a T shirt, shirt, sweater, vest, and a coat on, it still bruised me, safety glasses are a must all the time.

This dude showed 1-3-21 about dark....
