What holsters are you using for Shield 45?

Since I like to go light and economical, ensuring that I'm always carrying, in everything from blue jeans to gym shorts, I tote a S&W 38 Airweight, or Shield9, in one of several cheap pocket holsters I got on ebay for under $10.
And they work like a charm.
Ain't no way in hell I'm paying $50-100 bucks for a stupid friggin' holster.

I can't imagine how big those blue jeans are if you can carry a Shield 9 in a pocket. But I concur that spending big bucks for a holster and throwing the name around sounds too "metro" for me. If I could get to it in a hurry, I'd carry it in a sack.

Living in balmy, sultry, south Georgia, I typically wear loose,cargo-pocket shorts in temps down to the 30's, so carrying something as dimunitve as a Shield isn't even remotely a chore.
Same for blue jeans: as I don't wear the skin-tight stuff I did in high school, the pockets are plenty loose enough for a lil' ol' Shield.

I some what the opposite. I don't get people that'll spend $500+ on a gun and put in some crappy $10 Uncle Mikes iwb Holster. Pocket holsters I get being cheap. But I don't have a problem spending $50 or so on a decent iwb or owb holster.
A lot of times you get what you pay for and I want my gun to be where I put it when I need it. Your life may depend on it.
Same reason I have safariland for work instead of some other brand.

I picked up a DeSantis Mini Slide for a Ruger SR9C a few years back...I use it for the Shield 9 & 45, the 3913 and the 6906. A little twist of the retention screw dials it in. It also fits my Kahr CM45, but I seldom take that out.
I also have a G&G IWB for a Glock 27.... works just fine for all of the above also.
I have a few individually-fitted holsters, but I tend to use the one or two that fit everything the most. I guess I'm too lazy to go in the holster box to find the "special" ones.

Another vote for Wright Leather Works "Predator." Best holster by far in my long life of holster buying. Fit and finish are impeccable and the extra leather strip at the top of the holster keeps it open for easy reholstering (see jaysq's photo).

I've gravitated to a Desantis ( (001BA5EZ0) THUMB BREAK SCABBARD - Black - Right - Unlined ) for my EDC Shield 45. I wear it about 2:30 , just over my Wranglers front pocket, and it carries the pistol high, so that it's just under my rib-cage. The lower edge of the holster comes down just to the top of the watch pocket and it's very comfortable standing or sitting. :)

I bought a N82 tactical professional holster for my 9mm Shield and have found it also works for the 45 Shield. I wear it at 3 o'clock strong side hip with slight cant forward.

Well I got this one off amazon. It came today and is pretty good for $39.

These are great holsters- I JUST paid for my M&P Shield 45acp that should be here this week and went on amazon to order this holster for it. I have had one for my LC9s for a year and love it. I'd recommend to anyone for the money it's hard to beat.

Edit: Sorry for bumping an old thread without checking first.

Just one. An off-the-rack DeSantis Mini Scabbard. Simple. Effective. Relatively inexpensive. I like to keep things simple. Most of the time.

I currently have 3. I have an OWB made by Mitch Rosen, a stealthgear mini IWB which gets the most use and a kydex by concealment express for quick trips. They are all good for their intended purpose.

I'm not into holsters at all, but I've been carrying the 9mm Shield every day for over 3 years in a Desantis Pro Stealth, which didn't cost more than $25. It keeps the gun very stable and shows no wear at all after 3 years. And the gun shows almost no wear either. The same holster fits the 45 Shield quite well, but I'm still carrying the 9mm mostly due to it's history of reliability. (referring only to the one I have--3000 rds vs a little over 500 with my 45) The Pro Stealth has a built in mag holder which is essentially useless. I carry one spare mag in back pocket in a Remora pouch.

It's not fancy nor leather, but I carried my 45 Shield in an H28? Remora all day today and it was just about perfect.
I was suspect about them before but with this carry and several more with other guns, I'm a believer.
Very comfortable and very secure.

How are you carrying that? I also use a foxx holster but your looks set up for a negative cant. My front clip is higher than the back by one hole to make the grip tilt forward. What position on the body do you put it? Mines at 3:30-4:30
