Now that there data is what sells the most, not necessarily what people want to eat. Then again, people who are buying in bulk through the mail are likely eating most of it themselves, same as something like 80% of Halloween candy bought at retail.
Even as a kid I thought candy corn was a low-level treat, seemed like you might as well just eat straight sugar. [Token old-timer rant:] Of course back then you were more likely to get a piece of fruit or a popcorn ball or some other home-made goodie as opposed to fancy store-bought stuff.
And what kind of psycho state would have salt water taffy be a top ranked Halloween candy? Oh, right...
