Both my native and adopted states go for Tootsie Pops. Odd, that.

I'm a gum drop orange slices man, myself, but those are no doubt considered unsafe for the wee hellions.

I'd cheerfully settle for Reese's Cups.

I think the last candy corn I ate had been marinated in hash oil, but that was in the '70's. :D

maybe I should have noted, that my fave candy to just sit and eat this time of year is that wonderful candy corn.

Decades ago when i went trick or treating? Probably those little "Smartees" did it for me back then lol.

I remember as a kid in the 80's candy corn was common and very popular. I really liked it, but would stop at half of a handful. You really brought back some memories. Cool.

I recall my Mom or Dad (someone back home had to hand out candy after all :)) went with me and I hoped that there would be a Reese's or Snickers. I didn't grow up poor, my parents didn't spend money on candy except on special occasions. When I had an orange plastic jack-o-lantern full of my favorite treats...I thought I was wealthy! ;)

It says Swedish Fish are #1 in GA????????????
Never heard of em. They don't look so hot to me.

Reese's Cups SHOULD be #1 in every state. Divine. :D
I see they are #1 in only three states- IA, KS, and OR. Looks like it's gonna be a long night.

Now that there data is what sells the most, not necessarily what people want to eat. Then again, people who are buying in bulk through the mail are likely eating most of it themselves, same as something like 80% of Halloween candy bought at retail.

Even as a kid I thought candy corn was a low-level treat, seemed like you might as well just eat straight sugar. [Token old-timer rant:] Of course back then you were more likely to get a piece of fruit or a popcorn ball or some other home-made goodie as opposed to fancy store-bought stuff.

And what kind of psycho state would have salt water taffy be a top ranked Halloween candy? Oh, right...
