I have a no name brand reflex red dot site and when i works it is so fun to shoot with but after 5-10 rounds it looses zero. Is there a cheap (under $150) red dot site that holds zero? I prefer something like a Eotech clone if there is one that can hold zero. Has anyone ever tried a Eotech clone on the 15-22, and how does it work? I dont have the cash to put a expensive red dot or holographic scope on my 15-22.

Kercha83, yes, at $150 a Vortex Surefire is a great deal and will handle the very low recoil. Also SightMark SM13041 Red Dot for $79 is a solid performer. I own both and can say they work great.

I also have the Aimpoint ML3 at $640, it's battery last 5 years and it has zero parallax, but it cost more than my rifle. It is on my AR15 5.56 for defending my family. The M&P is for plinking and training, so you do the math... Good luck..

thanks guys...my 15-22 is for plinking and training only so i wont need a expensive sight. But yeah i will look at those and see which one to get.

I've used Ultradot on quite a few AR's with good result...

I've also use ADCO's on AR's and AK's....

Either will meet your needs and be in your price range... Just be sure to get the 3 MOA dot.

MOA is the dot size in inches at 100 yards. So a 3 MOA dot would cover 3" and 6 MOA is larger and would cover 6"

thanks that is some good info. I thought MOA stand for minute of angle...what does size have to do with minute of angle?
