Was gifted this a couple weeks ago by a fellow in my golf league.

He really didn't really remember how he had acquired it.

So any guessing here as mfg. and date of this revolver?

It has some proof marks on it but hard to take a photo of them right now.

I'll probably take the stocks off of it and put it to soak in some Ed's Red.

Whie it is similar in design to a Lefaucheux pinfire the hammer seems to be set up for center fire ammunition. Perrin, Galand and some others made centerfire revolvers in the 1860s and 70s in France as improvements on the pinfire system. Belgian firms also got into the act as they had already been producing pinfires so it was an easy step to produce a centerfire gun using the same basic action.
