what is needed

i went on the powder sites to get the load data. and went from there but the best info was from others who had already loaded a similar round. and just reading on here and some other places. i will say that the book i got helped a ton as well it was good basic info to start with.

A1racer, glad you had success, don’t be surprised if you find both loads to be very good. In the end there are a lot of ways to get this particular job done.

Accurate # 2 & # 5 meters really well, when you use a powder measure metering is important, no make that, very important. #2 is considered “fast” powder, while HS 6, AA #5, and Power Pistol are “medium”.
For medium velocity w/mid-wt bullet loads in the .40 S&W #2 is fine. Many target loads are made up with fast powders, but it’s not usually considered the way to approach high velocity & heavy bullets

The only differance I noticed about the #2 powder is the kickback was a little sharper. But they where super accurate compared to the wolf factory loads I was shooting. I think I will take the hs-6 loads out in a day or so just to see the differance.
