What is Smith & Wesson's worst gun?

Years ago I shot a Model 76 subgun. I remember it had about a 20 pound trigger pull.

I am barely 4 months into my gun owning/shooting career so I can't really comment on the worst ever.

BUT, I have a SW9VE Sigma & a P-22(polymer .22 auto-loader) both mentioned on this thread.
The sigma has 600 rds & 0 problems & the P-22 needs HV ammo to function correctly but is extreamly reliable & accurate.

My only other gun is a M60 w/ a 2 1/8" brl.
I can't believe a m60 with any length brl was mentioned here.
It kind of sounds like that post should have been posted in "My least favorite gun".

In defense of the M-76: A local fellow has a one for sale. He has owned it for 20 years that I know of, and he has shot it a lot. He says he has never had a stoppage for anything but bad primers and cartridges that had no flash holes (!!!). I have been there through one session of almost 1,000 rounds. It ran flawlessly. Others I know who have shot it have had similar observances.

They may not be MP-5's, but for stamped, third generation buzz guns, they are pretty good examples of their type. I would buy it if not for my current poverty. If he still has it in a while, I may.

Still voting for the Model 61 Escort. They look pretty well machined, fit and finished. I don't know why they usually don't work.

I use to think my 9VE was the worst. I am a revolver shooter, and after a time ,i started to like it. Oh by the way ,i still love my 329PD

Worst one I ever owned was a 4" Model 34 in nickel. Beautiful little gun but if you actually shot it, you'd better have a dowel and brass hammer or you'd never get the spent cases out!

My vote goes to the M61-I have one, evencarry it once in a while-with some ammo its OK-until it gets dirty. The grips are cheap.

I'd say the Sigmas are a good choice for worst gun. I remember when they first came out, they couldn't sell them so they donated a bunch and the Sigmas became the "prize gun" at Bullseye and PPC matches.
Every one who won one was not too enthusiastic.
I've actually had staple guns that had better trigger pulls than a Sigma.

I had a no dash 4516 for years and I never did find any ammo that it would shoot. It couldn't get through a mag without jamming. I traded it last year towards a PC 460. The first gun I've swapped away in a long long time.

Well lets see:

How about the 9mm gun they were supposed to make for the Brit's just prior to us getting into WWII? They rejected it, and that led to the Victory Model.
The Sigma. Ugly and Smith's attempt at competing with Glock.
Any revolver with a light rail. Ugly and stupid. If you want to go all "tactical" get a gun that holds umpteen rounds.
That really short 1 inch barreled .357 revolver. How short can you get these things before the powder beats the bullet out of the barrel?

4516

Over 10 years ago Smith was having trouble manufacturing the 4516 a short barrelled 45 which was produced to compete with the Colt Commander. The longer they delayed production the more I wanted one. Well I finally got one but it was a terrible shooter----too much play in the slide. You could actually move the slide from left to right while you were racking it. I couldn't hit a bull in the ass at 10 paces.
