Wolff gunsprings does not specifically list the CS9. Does the CS9 share a recoil spring with one of the other numbered models, or does Wolff literally not make a recoil spring for this gun?

I don't think Wolff makes springs for the CS series or the dual spring 4000/4500 series compacts. Your best bet is to call S&W, Brownells or Midway and get the factory replacement.

Last time I spoke with someone at Wolff they said they had no plans to make recoil springs for the CS series. The reason had something to do with them being single, flat-wound springs (instead of dual/captive units).

The recoil spring for the CS9 is unique to that model in S&W parts. It's painted red.

The S&W factory parts list shows:
Part # 263210000 $3.26 RECOIL SPRING

You'd have to call and figure out which way the sales tax (if any) and shipping would add to the total cost depending where you order it.

I finally ordered a dozen recoil springs each for my CS9 & CS45 because I was spending more on shipping than I was for individual springs whenever I ordered them.

Then again, I shoot them a fair amount from time to time, too.

I was on the hunt for a stiffer spring for my CS45 and struck out. Wolff can't/won't make flat wire springs, and ISMI only makes them for Glocks. The only springs available are the stock ones as far as I could find. Midway USA will likely be your best retail price on these and it's a good idea to buy several to make the freight worth it.

ATI CS9's recoil spring is not the same as S&W. Part number 26321000 is for S&W real compact. ATI has a spring which is about double in length. It has 18 coils as opposed to about 30 for ATI's. What they call a compact in Europe is a gun identical in size to the standard to a full size gun. The only difference being is the barrel is about an inch shorter. I mistakenly bought 2 myself. I use the spring from a baretta 92 to increase the poundage on my CS9.
