I have three holsters that I use with J-frames.

Most used is an Uncle Mike's pocket holster.

Next is a pocket holster made by Wild Bill's Concealment Leather. It's too big for my pants pockets so I use in a coat pocket.

A more recent acquistion is a Galco IWB holster. It works very well with my M60, but I haven't used it too much. Pocket carry is just so easy compared to messing with belt loops and another shirt, or jacket, to cover a gun on the waistband.

After trying many systems, I have weeded things out until I now use the Mika pocket holster for concealed carry.

When you first get it, it seems bulky, but within a few days it conforms to the gun and your body and pretty much disappears.

It is not rigid enough to rub on you or project bumps, but is stiff enough that re-holstering is very easy.

On top of all that, Robert is a "super" guy to deal with and I highly recommend him.

I generally carry an old mdl 36 in mine with standard S&W grips and a T-grip adapter. It's been there so long that I don't feel dressed without it.

There are fancier and more expensive holsters but no better ones for the money.

I agree with the the Simply Rugged pancake holster too.

I use one of them when the belt carry mood strikes.
Another quality holster for the money.

Mine is the Galco SSS (Side Snap Scabbard). It's quick on/off without having to un-do your belt.

OK, thats a great holster. I assume its the exiotic or whatever they call the non-cowhide holsters.

My favorite by far is my Galco SOB. The gun just vanishes (except when driving).

My experiences, most of which have been unhappy, relate to me not being able to guess beforehand if I like a holster of if I can use it. I've pretty much given up on anything inside the waistband.

Some other issues to consider: open bottom holsters allow you to use other barrrl length guns. Then new and ugly fiber optic sights tend to hang up in those. Closed bottom holsters somehow seem to accumulate lint, crumbs, and even water if its raining.

I use a Mika IWB and a Mika pocket holster and like them both. My OWBs are from Ray's holsters. Good products at about $45 with the shipping. I have one for my J frame and another for a 3" K frmae and I like them both.

Galco CON158 for OWB; Galco UDC158 or Active Pro Gear 11-42 for IWB.

My M60 and 642 love each holster.

Be safe.

Galco ankle glove. I wear it daily and don't even know it's there.

My favorite Hip Holster for my 2" J Frames is a Rafter S., Sharkskin with leather Trim..
My favorite pocket Holster is a Kramer..

Well . . . my Model 37 no dash blued Airweight resides in my $12 Uncle Mike's pocket holster . . . and it is ALWAYS with me, so I guess it is a winner. BUT . . .

BUT . . . my '64 Model 36 no dash nickleplated beauty is carried in a REAL NICE Mitch Rosen burgundy holster. I got it via a forum member last year.

Nice leather for lefties is hard to come by but man, what workmanship, AND what fit! I've never experience such a perfect holster. (Now . . . if I only could afford his belt! This Ross gun belt is nice BUT . . . )
