My parents gave me a Remington Wingmaster 870 12 gauge when I was 13 years old. Been shooting them for 45 years now. I also have a few old H&R single shots including a 10 gauge. Nothing fancy about any of them but they have served me well.
I only own 2 brands of handguns-S&W and Ruger. Shotguns-Mossberg and Remington. Rifles-Ruger and Remington. I only buy Made in USA firearms, that is my choice.
Similar here. I clicked on the Colt choice but I have more Rugers than Colts. Of course it's not just numbers, I do like the quality of prewar Colt DA revolvers.
For what it's worth I have roughly three times more S&Ws than I do Rugers, and five times more S&Ws than Colts.
Ruger revolvers / Springfield Armory 1911s
Ruger / Winchester / CZ for bolt action rifles
DPMS for AR type rifles
Rossi for lever action carbine pistol cartridges
FN for semiauto full size battle rifles FN49 then FAL
I am not a composite guy, but I have a 36 and it just eats everything I put into it. I bought it, because it is light and 45acp ( a favorite) but it is a great gun
Kind of a complicated question. While the older, prelock S&W's were top notch made revolvers, ALL the new stuff is JUNK, like every other US mfgd firearm of today. Favorite auto has to be Glock, the Beretta M9A3, Italian mfgd guns are of good quality also. HK's model selection is stagnant at best, to be considered. Sig isn't the same Sig of German/W German mfg either. Favorite revolver is definitely older, pre '70mfgd Colt Python!
