What is your favorite Mountain Gun, and why?

I think ferrilmerril is onto something. I am thinking the same thing on my 25-5 in 4". I have been to the mountains, Utah, Colorado twice and New Mexico. I carried my MG, a 629 in 6". The only day I did not carry it was the night after a big snow, a mountain lion had walked around the camp before daylight, my wife didn't go out but she kept the 629 with her until I returned. I've since bought her a 19-3 in 4" which makes a great MG. MG's are a personal choice and it can be a MG without the MG etching on the BBL. I am going to carry the 25-5 more with Keith type loads. Whooo bears, cats, deliverance types bring it on...

My favorite has to be my MG in .44M. A great cartridge in a great hand gun.

Howdy! New guy here. My only MG is in 45LC. I absolutely love it. I plan on carrying it while hiking in Colorado. It should be adaquate for anything there.
