Carl, I paid exactly $1,000 for this one back in 2006, and I was pretty sure I stole it. It was new in the box with papers and a black velvet pouch. It was made "under the old Colt dome" in Hartford, CT. Today, these USFA single actions are regarded as some of the finest ever made. I especially love the color case hardening, which was done by Turnbull. Compared to a 3rd Gen Colt I own, the workmanship throughout is superior.
